Nikon FM3A 35mm SLR Camera (BLACK) - #265097 *SERVICED*
This is a lovely example of what was one of Nikon’s final mechanical 35mm film SLR cameras ever made. Made between 2001-2006, the FM3A was heavily modelled on the highly successful and well-regarded predecessor, the FM2n, but with a key difference - it had aperture priority mode!
The FM3A has become something of a legend, and clean examples such as this fetch a hefty premium, especially in black paint.
The camera is fully mechanical except where batteries are required for the light meter and aperture priority mode.
This particular example has been fully disassembled and serviced, and has incredibly accurate shutter speeds across the entire range.
However, this particular example unfortunately has an intermittent light meter fault, therefore any new owner needs to be aware that this fault causes meter fluctuation/becomes non-functional and will result in an inaccurate meter readings (and essentially render the auto exposure mode unusable), this is reflected in the price.
Even with this intermittent fault, the camera still represents an excellent example with minor paint loss to the rear door area, and will make someone a lovely camera.
Condition Grading:
Serviced (60 day warranty excludes existing faults)
‘Good - Items in this category will be in good condition, with small areas of age related wear/paint loss from normal use! This is our most common category’
Read more about our condition grading here.
Additional comments:
Small amount of dust in viewfinder and minor paint loss to rear door area
Comes with unused genuine Nikon Strap + aftermarket body cap
This particular example unfortunately has experienced an intermittent light meter fault, therefore any new owner needs to be aware that this fault causes meter fluctuation and will result in an inaccurate meter readings (and essentially render the auto exposure mode unusable), this is reflected in the price.
